WHAT: Be part of an Italian tradition commencing with a mass in La Piazza followed by a procession of veterans from the Italian Army’s Alpini Brigade and community members who will carry the statue of St Anthony along Clyde Street and back to St Mary’s Church. Come along and dress up in traditional regional Italian costumes.

WHAT: Visit the community Museum and view displays of historical information and memorabilia relating to the Myrtleford district and the role Italian migration played in the social and economic development.
Displays include static and digital presentations; migration, agriculture & forestry, Italian regional organisations, the local Italian cinema and the Italian POW Camp 5 (1942-46).

Teacher Michele Cortese is transferred from Rome to a school in Abruzzo which is on the brink of closure due to lack of enrolments.
The movie is set in a small village in the Abruzzo National Park, and was a box office hit in Italy with two Nastri d’Argento award for Best Comedy & Best Actress in a comedy film
