In 1986, George & Patrizia Simone embarked on a journey to North East Victoria, a region that fondly reminded them of Italy, to open Simones restaurant. Patrizia presented dishes fondly remembered from her childhood and Perugia. With Nonna Maria making her traditional pasta and George introducing local & Italian wines, this family affair started to pave the way for the future.
Being recognized and awarded with many accolades from The Age Good Food Guide and Gourmet Traveller alike, the restaurant became an institution of North East Victoria. In 2009, Patrizia was created a Legend of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival in recognition of her chef skills and passionate promotion of seasonality and regionality through her work with local food and wine producers.

WHAT: This year we see Patrizia Simone join forces with James Mele from The Meat Room to bring you class on the tradition of salami & sausage making, how to select the meat, mixing, filing, curing. Once you’ve learnt how to make your sausages Patrizia will share some Umbrian secrets and recipes.

WHERE: Billy Button Cellar Door, Myrtleford
WHAT: For two special evenings Patrizia Simone presents a set menu, taking you to her home region of Umbria and then back to the days of Simone’s Restaurant for an old favourite dish.
Join us for a memorable night designed to celebrate the seasonal produce of our region, in stunning simplicity.
Begin with an arrival drink and canapés and move through the courses, embracing the flavours of autumn.
This is a set menu, let us know if you have any allergies or special dietary requirements we need to be aware of. Please note that we may not be able to cater for some dietary requirements.
Depending on the size of your booking you may be seated with others, due to the space. Seating does include some high tables with stools (not chairs), please advise if not suitable.
Cost - $120 per person.
